Bergans and OP enter framework agreement with the Swedish Armed Forces

Together with the Norwegian defence supplier Oskar Pedersen AS, Bergans Of Norway has entered into a framework agreement with FMV (the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration) for the delivery of backpacks and load-carrying systems to the Swedish Armed Forces and Civil Defence.

The total value of the agreement is SEK 2 billion, with a duration of seven years. Bergans og Norway and Oskar Pedersen are one of seven Nordic suppliers awarded a place on the framework agreement.

The agreement marks a step in Bergans’ continued focus on the professional market. The company has developed and supplied backpacks to operational agencies since 1914 and has held a framework agreement for backpacks with the Norwegian Armed Forces since 2012.

– This is an important recognition of the expertise we have built over time. We have extensive experience in developing load-carrying systems for use in operational environments, says Silje Garberg Ree, CEO of Bergans.

She highlights the value of working across segments:

Oskar Pedersen, Bergans’ partner in the agreement, has extensive experience as a supplier of operational solutions to the defence sector in the Nordic region.
